SkipUp
SkipUp is an AI scheduling agent that operates through email. Users CC skip@skipup.co on a thread and Skip handles the coordination - reading context, checking calendars across time zones, following up and booking the meeting. Think executive assistant, not calendar link. As the founding designer, I'm responsible for the product experience, email system, marketing site brand.
SNAPSHOT
PROBLEM
SkipUp had a working agent but no designed surface. No dashboard, onboarding, billing, email template system, established brand or marketing site. The primary interaction happens in email (not in a UI), so the product needed to earn trust through its behaviour before a user ever sees a settings page. Positioning was also unclear: calendar link competitor, AI assistant, or scheduling infrastructure…
SOLUTION
I designed the full product surface. Web application to manage availability (calendar integrations), preferences, agent customisation, billing and more - from design, to prototype and production. Beyond the application, I built an email template system with voice guidelines that govern how Skip communicates, an AI-native preferences engine that learns from behaviour rather than requiring configuration, and the marketing site + brand system. AI-assisted tooling compressed exploration and iteration throughout, from early concepts through to shipping code.
OUTCOME
SkipUp is pre-launch and onboarding early users, so I'll update this with quantitative results as data comes in. The positioning work; scheduling-first vs. context-first, branded product vs. invisible infrastructure has directly shaped what the company is building and for whom.
